There are always exciting new things happening in Prairie View Municipality!
Energy and resource development are driving strong growth within the municipality. Oil drilling and production remain active, while nearby potash mines continue to expand. PCS Rocanville is well into its $2.8-billion expansion project, and Mosaic in Esterhazy has launched a $1.5-billion expansion.
These developments are attracting new residents and skilled workers to the area. PCS Rocanville continues to add permanent staff, while Mosaic expects to create approximately 100 new long-term positions.
Agriculture also remains a cornerstone of the local economy. The region’s fertile farmland supports a wide range of mixed farming operations and agribusinesses, continuing our strong agricultural tradition.
Community pride and resilience are evident throughout Prairie View. The Foxwarren Rink recently received a $100,000 provincial grant to support much-needed repairs after a summer storm partially destroyed the roof. Thanks to the determination and support of the local community, restoration efforts are well underway.
Prairie View Municipality is also proud to partner with Park West Fibre Optic Co-op, which has brought fibre optic service to all schools within the municipality. High-speed internet is now available to residents and businesses throughout Prairie View.
Surrounded by picturesque rivers, valleys, and breathtaking prairie vistas, Prairie View offers a place where “home” is both beautiful and welcoming. With modern amenities, local programs, employment opportunities, and strong community spirit, Prairie View is a place where people can truly put down roots.
